Boutique Hotel & Restaurant
CLIENT: Private | ARCHITECT: Private | TOTAL S/F: 30,000
Project Overview
This resort houses 24 luxury suites and 2 uniquely styled restaurants, each with their own commercial kitchen. Working with the constrained project site, Behan Bros. demolished the existing restaurant building and erected the new structural steel skeleton within a 3 month period, prior to the start of the summer season. In order to achieve these aggressive project milestones, a Geopier rammed aggregate foundation support system was installed in lieu of a traditional pile system, saving weeks of bearing system installation and associated nuisances such as dust, noise and vibrations. In addition, the 30,000 sq.ft. facility is designed to achieve USGBC LEED Certification, through use of such items as high-efficiency mechanical systems, low-emitting materials, FSC Certified woods, and recycled products.
